Terms of Service

1. Who can use this

You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you are under 16 and in the UK or EEA, you may need a parent or guardian’s consent for us to process your data; if that applies to you, please have them contact us before signing up.

During the closed alpha, accounts are invite-only. Your invite is for you — please do not pass it on.

2. Music you provide — the part that matters most

If you provide music to be published on this platform, whether you upload it yourself or send it to us to publish for you, you represent and warrant that you control all the rights needed — both the sound recording (master) and the underlying composition (publishing). You also grant us permission to host, stream, and display that music and its artwork on the platform.

This is deliberate and it is a real restriction. It means you may not provide:

• covers of songs written by someone else;
• remixes of recordings you do not control;
• music containing uncleared samples;
• co-writes where a co-writer’s share is administered by a publisher who has not agreed to this.

If you are unsure whether something qualifies, ask before sending it. We would much rather answer that question than take a track down later.

Takedown. If we are notified that something infringes, or we have good reason to believe the warrant above was not true, we will remove it — usually first and with questions after. Tell us and we will restore anything removed in error.

You keep ownership of your music. Nothing here transfers your copyright, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

You can ask us to delete your account and we will. See the privacy policy for what that removes and what it does not.

4. Using the platform

Do not use the platform to break the law, to harass anyone, to upload material you have no right to, or to attack the service itself (scraping at volume, circumventing access controls, or attempting to disrupt it for others). We may suspend accounts that do.

5. This is an alpha, and what that means for liability

The platform is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It is early software run by a very small operation: it may be unavailable, may lose data, and may change substantially without notice. Please do not treat it as the only copy of anything you care about.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months, or 100 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

6. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms substantively, we will publish a new version and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in. We record which version you accepted, not merely that you accepted something, so it is always possible to say exactly what you agreed to.
